Towing two loaded scrap barges out of Stamford. Each barge is about 150 ft long and is approximately 1500 tons in weight

Heading for Stamford's Hurricane Barrier

Towing through the barrier. When open, the gate is lying on the bottom.

When we arrived at Stamford, we put the empty barges on a mooring and went in to get the loaded ones out. Then we take the light barges in to be loaded. The light barges are pushed in. Here we are going back through the barrier.

Stamford is very tight with marinas and yachts on both sides.

The crane is swinging out to grab the sand barge and pull it in so that we can pass by.
