other barge and went east

The first barge is through Guard Gate 6. Chief
Engineer Mike is on the bow of the tug.

At Lock E-20 we began double locking. Here we
are putting the barges in to the lock. We then untie from the first
barge and back the tug and second barge out. The first barge is dropped
down and winched out to the lower wall. We then enter the lock with
the other barge and mate up with the first one once we are dropped
down to it.

The CHEYENNE is backing the second barge out
of the lock.

The first barge is down on the lower wall of
Lock E-19 as we lock down to it.

Lock E-19's lower doors opening to let us out
to the first barge. The whole process takes about an hour and a quarter.
