WATER TIGHT HATCHES
All Intracoastal Transportation Vessels

At The Dock
All watertight hatches are to be closed, dogged and secured with either chain on the inside or a lock on the outside when the vessels are not in service.

Underway
Light Boat (MARSEC I) – All windward (seaward) hatches are to be closed at all times.
Light Boat (MARSEC II & III) – All watertight hatches are to be closed and dogged at all times.
Towing (Any MARSEC Level) – All hatches are to be closed and dogged when not in use.
ShipDocking (Any MARSEC Level) – All hatches must be closed and dogged at all times
