SUBSTANCE ABUSE POLICY

DRUG FREE WORKPLACE

IntraCoastal Transportation, Inc is fully committed to maintaining a workplace free from drugs. Unlawful involvement with drugs is prohibited in the workplace – this includes all vessels and properties owned by IntraCoastal Transportation, Inc and the vessels and properties of our customers. IntraCoastal Transportation, Inc will terminate any employee found with drugs and/or under the influence of drugs in the workplace.

IntraCoastal Transportation, Inc intends to comply with the requirements set forth in the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988. As a condition of employment, employees must abide by workplace drug restrictions.
• Employees may not consume alcoholic beverages or take illegal drugs on our premises.
• Employees may not report to work under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Employees must notify a member of management of any criminal drug statute conviction for a violation occurring in the workplace no later than five (5) days after such conviction. IntraCoastal Transportation, Inc is then required to notify any contracting federal agencies of this fact within ten (10) days of receiving notice of conviction from affected employee. Within thirty (30) days of being notified of an employee drug conviction, IntraCoastal Transportation, Inc will take the appropriate action, up to and including discharge, or require participation in a drug abuse assistance or rehabilitation program

IntraCoastal Transportation, Inc will make every effort to maintain a productive drug free environment. In this policy drugs refers to all illegal and unlawful drugs and alcohol. Legal drugs include prescribed and over-the-counter drugs which have been legally obtained and used for the purpose for which they were intended. Illegal drugs include any drug which is not legally obtainable, which may be obtainable but has not been legally obtained or which is being used in a manner or for a purpose other than as prescribed.

Passing a drug test is a condition of employment. You will be required to take a drug test before you begin working for IntraCoastal Transportation, Inc and then randomly throughout your employment with the company. The company will pay for the tests. You may be tested quite frequently.
