TIME OFF

Time Off - Jury Duty
Intracoastal Transportation, Inc provides paid jury or witness duty leave as long as you return to work as soon as your service has ended.
You must provide proof of your jury or witness duty when your service begins and when you return to work.
You will receive your regular base pay while you serve.
You can record time taken for jury duty through your timecard.

Time Off - Voting
Intracoastal Transportation, Inc will give you up to two hours of paid time off to vote in local, state, and national elections if your work schedule conflicts with voting hours on election day.
You must receive advance approval from your manager.

Time Off – Military Leave

In accordance with the requirements of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994, 38 USC §4301 et seq. ("USERRA"), Intracoastal Transportation, Inc will provide a Military Leave of Absence to employees for the duration of their period(s) of service in the U.S. Military Uniformed Services, according to the conditions set forth below:
Duration of Leave
An employee is eligible for Military Leave for the greater of (1) the period the employee is required to complete his/her period of obligated service, (2) the period the employee is ordered to active duty, (3) the period the employee is called into Federal service as a member of the National Guard or (4) five years.

Compensation

Reserves Leave (less than 31 days): Intracoastal Transportation, Inc will supplement the difference between the employee's military pay and their regular base pay from Intracoastal Transportation, Inc for up to 31 days. Regular base pay excludes incentive pay (quarterly and sales incentive), bonuses, premium pay, shift differentials, pager pay, expense reimbursements, and similar amounts. The employee needs to provide a copy of their military pay to the payroll department in order to be paid this supplement.

Active Duty Leave (31 days or more): Intracoastal Transportation, Inc will not supplement the difference between the employee's military pay and their regular base pay from Intracoastal Transportation, Inc.

Time Off – Bereavement Leave

Intracoastal Transportation, Inc provides up to five days of paid bereavement leave if an immediate member of your family dies and up to three days of paid bereavement leave if a member of your extended family dies.


Immediate family members include:
• Spouse or qualified domestic partner
• Father, mother, son, daughter or "step/in-law" relatives of these
• Brother, sister, stepbrother or stepsister
• Qualified domestic partner’s father, mother, son, daughter or "in-law" relatives of these


Extended family members include your or your spouse/domestic partner's:
• Brother or sister-in-law
• Aunt, uncle, niece, nephew or first cousin
• Grandfather, grandmother, grandson, granddaughter or "step/in-law" relatives of these
